What this department covers

The Department of Food Sciences was established in 2018 at Cholistan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (CUVAS), Bahawalpur. The department focuses on food safety, food security, processing and preservation, with the aim of producing well-trained professionals for the growing food industry and academic sector.

The department applies food science and technology to address challenges related to food quality, nutrition and safety. It also supports students through effective teaching and practical training while promoting collaboration with food industries and neighbouring institutions, particularly in South Punjab.
