What this department covers

Theriogenology is the branch of animal science concerned with reproduction, including the physiology and pathology of male and female reproductive systems and the clinical practice of veterinary obstetrics, gynecology and andrology. The Department of Theriogenology provides specialized knowledge and clinical training in animal reproduction while addressing reproductive challenges and problems faced by livestock producers and veterinary practitioners.

The CUVAS Theriogenology Team has broad expertise and clinical experience and works in collaboration with specialists from other departments. The department provides comprehensive consultation and clinical services for reproductive concerns and offers assisted reproductive technologies through its reproductive laboratories, including semen cryopreservation, artificial insemination and embryo transfer. The team is also actively involved in clinical teaching, veterinary training, applied research and outreach programs.

The department also provides semen testing services and aims to strengthen reproductive healthcare through advanced clinical and diagnostic facilities.
